Creativity Fortnight –BA, Economics & LS Dept

During the Creativity Fortnight, Economics, Business & Accounting and Liberal Studies Departments have jointly brought a lunch-time activity full of fun to our students.

In the activity, students were required to take part in a board game called Cashflow - a financial simulator using RPG elements and simplified stock and real estate markets.

Students chose a character to play with. They could be in the professions in the upper class, such as doctors and lawyers, or they could choose to be truck drivers or janitors in the lower class professions. Irrespective of their professions, they were requested to manage their debts, incomes, expenditures and other financial details. The winner was the one who had the greatest cash flow in the end. Students had great fun in the activity, and most importantly, they learned a lot in managing their finance through active engagement in a simulation.

Teachers and students are well prepared and ready for rolling out the activity.
The student instructor is explaining the rules of the activity to participants.
The student banker is distributing consumption/investment cards to participants.
Participants are calculating the total amount of cash flow they possess.
Participants are actively engaging in the activity.
