TEDx Youth@HongKong 2014 Talks

In this year's TEDx Youth Conference which was held on Saturday, 15th November, 2014 in Chiang Chen Studio Theatre of PolyU, 10 students attended the talks and felt much enlightened at the creativity and eye-opening adventures of various speakers embarking on their life-long pursuit of their own ambitions and working goals at placement.

Among the speakers that our students mentioned in the evaluation form, they found the Open Mic session of shared success or failure experiences from the audience interesting and thought-provoking. Attracted by the title, 'To be or not to be' and the slogan 'Ideas worth spreading', our students stayed to the last session in the afternoon enjoying a musical performance and taking a short lesson from Taekwondo blackbelt holder and coach, who shared her decision to be a volunteer coach in India for three months. The day's talks culminated in David Lightbody's talk on his theatrical experience in Disney fables followed by Disneyland parade dancers performing on stage and an invitation of all the audience to the Hong Kong Disneyland on that day.

Of course, our students would not miss the chance as they had informed their parents of the complimentary park tickets.

The students look curious about the meaning of 'To be or not to be'.
