iPoor Experiential Life

Through a series of activities to explore and experience poverty and lack of community care, our students had a special experience and understood the plight of the poor.

The 2018-2019 Form 1 First Term Exam Prize Presentation Ceremony was held at the school hall during the morning assembly on 8 March, 2019.

School Talk by The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries

On 7th March, Business Accounting Department invited The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries to hold a school talk for our students. The topic of the talk was "Ethics and Corporate Governance". Students had a great time with speakers from the institute and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Students were divided into 5 groups. Speakers delivered the topic through a presentation and interactive games. Students were so excited. The atmosphere was good during the activities.

Cultural Detective

Cultural Detective! This program was held on 9 March 2019 which offered students a valuable opportunity to learn leadership skill. Under the guidance of volunteers, students learned about different thinking strategies and how to communicate with others through this program.

"Love Our City" Mini Forum

MCNEC organized the "Love Our City" - Mini Forum during lunch recess on 1 March 2019. It is a chance for students to express their views on the topic "Should Hong Kong be plastic-free?"

Our students represented different stakeholders to present their viewpoints about the topic in the mini forum.

Creative and Innovative Entrepreneurship and Maker Fortnight – Library

During the Creative and Innovative Entrepreneurship and Maker Fortnight, the School Library has organized an interesting lunchtime activity for our students. In the activity, students were invited to decorate some bookstands with colorful stickers, ribbons, color pens, etc. Students showed their creativity and talents on art and design. They were happy to bring their works home. The library expected students could learn, enjoy and develop a habit of organizing and storing books.

VTC and CIC Visit

In order to help S3 students know more about the post-secondary 3 exits and course content of the vocational training institutes, the Careers and Guidance Committee organized a visit to the VTC Kowloon Bay Complex and the Construction Industry Resource Centre. Around 40 students went there on 1 March 2019. They could know more about the requirements and details of the programs offered which helped make their decisions on further studies.

A Parents’ Talk and Tea-time Gathering

In order to enhance the parent-child relationship and let parents know more about the techniques in developing teenagers' positive psychology, a talk was delivered by Mr. Pang Chi Wah, a registered clinical psychologist, on the Parents' Day (3rd March 2019). A sharing session and a tea-time gathering was held after the talk.

CGC: JA It’s My Business!

JA It's My Business! This program was held on 23 Feb 2019 which offered students a valuable opportunity to learn from successful entrepreneurs. Under the guidance of business volunteers, students learned about different marketing strategies and how to develop a business through this program.
