Guangzhou Urban Planning and Economic Development Exploration Tour

As part of our continued commitment to experiential learning and fostering global awareness, our students recently participated in the Guangzhou Urban Planning and Economic Development Exploration Tour. This enriching excursion offered firsthand insights into the city’s rapid development, innovation, and urban transformation.

During the tour, students visited the Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC Group), where they explored the evolution of China's automotive industry, saw cutting-edge vehicle technologies, and learned about the company’s role in advancing sustainable transportation.

Next, we ascended the iconic Canton Tower, one of the tallest structures in the world. From its observation deck, students were able to appreciate the scale and vision of Guangzhou’s urban design, gaining a unique perspective on the city’s infrastructure, skyline, and economic zones.

The tour concluded with an educational visit to the Yakult Factory, where students observed modern production processes and quality control systems in action. They also learned about health sciences, probiotics, and the economic significance of international consumer goods manufacturing in China.

This immersive experience allowed students to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications in urban planning, economics, and industrial development—an unforgettable journey into the heart of Guangzhou’s growth and innovation.
