Po Leung Kuk 145th Anniversary Special Exhibition

Teachers and students from our school visited the Po Leung Kuk 145th Anniversary Special Exhibition at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

Po Leung Kuk is a well-known institution in Hong Kong. The words "Po Leung" refer to "baochi anliang" (protection of the young and the innocent), reflecting one of Po Leung Kuk's most important social functions since the late 19th century - rescuing and protecting destitute women and children.

For over 145 years, the services of Po Leung Kuk today have reached far beyond protection of women and children. Along with social and economic development, Po Leung Kuk's services have been expanded to include vocational training within the organization, general education outside the organization, and since the 1980s, recreation, elderly care, and medical services.
