Visit to Military Camp

On July 4, the students visited a military camp, where they participated in a presentation concerning the roles and responsibilities of personnel aboard the aircraft carrier. Subsequently, they were granted the opportunity to tour the warship under the guidance of naval officers. This experience enhanced students' understanding of China's military advancements, thereby fostering a greater sense of national identity.

Scholarships from Hong Kong Chaoren Shamshuipo Clans Association Ltd.

Our students are excelling in both academics and physical education. Four of them have been awarded scholarships from the Hong Kong Chaoren Shamshuipo Clans Association Ltd. These scholarships are designed to help students realize their full potential in both academic and physical pursuits. The award ceremony took place on June 21, 2025.

Staff Stress-Relief Gentle Yoga Activity

As educators, there are lots of challenges in teaching. Still, we dedicate our life to education. It is important to love ourselves. Education requires passion, and more importantly, healthy physical and mental support.

Teachers stretch their shoulders and backs under the guidance of the yoga tutor.

MakeX Robotics World Championship 2024

As the champion of Starter Division of the Hong Kong competition, our robotic team is qualified for the MakeX Robotics World Championship 2024 held in YShenzhen. The 4 qualified teams from our school competed against more than 400 teams from different countries. The hard work of our teams before the competition paid off. They have all broken their own records in the Hong Kong competition. However, they have also witnessed how strong the opponents can be.

MakeX Robotics Competition (Hong Kong) Finals

Our robotics team has participated MakeX Robotics Competition (Hong Kong) Finals on 9th November, 2024. This year, in addition to the Starter competition, we also participated in the Explorer competition. This is a higher division of the MakeX Robotics Competition. Our robotics team defended our titles in Starter Division, and was qualified for the World Championship to be held in Shenzhen in December 2024 to play against top teams from around the world. We wish them the best of luck!

Junior Achievement Hong Kong (JAHK): Code for Impact Challenge (Careers Guidance Committee)

In order to help young people develop thinking and coding skills, the Careers Guidance Committee invited students to in a life planning workshop titled "Junior Achievement: Code for Impact Challenge – Innovation Camp & Coding Workshop" on 15th February, 2025. Students were introduced the concept of 'Design Thinking' which helped them come up with a plan to help others. This time, they had to design an app that can help the underprivileged people improve the quality of life. To make an app, they were also taught basic coding skills.

CKY Hackathon 2025

Our robotic team members are honoured to be invited to participate in the CKY Hackathon, a two-day event organized by PLK Choi Kai Yau School, once again. In less than 30 hours, our two teams of students completed a prototype and a 1-minute pitching reel of their gamification platforms, aiming to promote reading and helping people with procrastination achieve their goals. At the end of these two intensive yet fruitful days, our Form 2 team was shortlisted for the final and received the Honorable Mention Award.

Our students are presenting their prototype, Bulbbooks, a gamified platform aiming at promoting reading, to the judging panel in the finals.

Cultural Journey Carnival

To enhance students’ understanding of different cultures, the Learning Support Team has organized the Cultural Journey Carnival for the third year. Eight Form 1 students were invited to be our Cultural Ambassadors. With the guidance of social workers from our partnering organization, they have designed three booth activities to introduce students  to the lives and cultures of their home countries.

Students and teachers have a lot of fun at the Polaroid booth, where they can try on different cultural costumes.

Exam Cheering Days

To encourage students to cope positively with exam pressure, Exam Cheering Days were held by the Discipline and Guidance Committee in November, March and May, before the exams, featuring lunchtime music performances, appreciation activities, and the distribution of encouragement chocolates and cookies.

A professional A cappella group was invited to perform during lunchtime.
