Healthy Diet and Food Labelling Game Booths

In order to arouse students' awareness of the nutrition, healthy diet and food labels, three game booths were set up by eighteen 2P students for the Home Economics Department. Three groups of students started to prepare for the booths from early February. They went through the whole process of preparing for different stages like designing the booth, planning the schedule, preparing materials needed, joining all stuff together and running the games.

2B Community Service

Students from 2B and the kids from Po Leung Kuk Kindergarten enjoyed the session on 28th March, 2015. Students designed the warm-up games and English learning activities for the kids and implemented their plan on the service date. Students of 2B learnt how to care for the kids and how to interact with them while the kids enjoyed playing games and learning English vocabulary in a fun way.

1A Community Service

1A students visited the Richmond Health Tsui Wah House on 21st March, 2015. Students learnt how to make roses which they taught residents. Students and residents shared their products with the community at the end of the activity. Students learnt more about the daily lives of people suffering from mental distress and their personal strengths.

Students are teaching residents the procedure and steps for making the roses.

‘It’s My Business Workshop’ from Junior Achievement (Hong Kong)

On 14th March, 2015(Saturday), 37 students from F. 2 and F. 3 joined the workshop of the 'It's My Business Workshop' from Junior Achievement (Hong Kong). The activities were conducted by an experienced business volunteer, Mr Andrew Wong, in a four-hour workshop as he shared his valuable real-life experiences in the business world with the students. Most students could use critical thinking skills to make advertisements and design the dream school floor plan from which they could learn entrepreneurial skills that support positive attitudes.

The speaker, Mr Andrew Wong, introduces the topic of business acumen in a humorous way.

Form 3B Community Service

The students from Form 3B and the elderly from Mei Foo Elderly Centre enjoyed a memorable sharing session during the activity held on 13th March, 2015. Students shared their experience of using smart phones while the elderly shared their personal stories as well as the skills of playing origami.

Term 2 Round 1 Competition of Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition

On 12th March, 2015, we participated in the Term 2 Round 1 Competition of Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition on the motion that 'Hong Kong should reduce its number of public rubbish bins by at least 50%.' The opponent team was HKFYG Lee Shau Kee College. We were speaking against the motion. One of our debaters, Sophia Yuen of F. 3A, was awarded the best debater.
