'ipeel' Workshop

28 students including the Home Economics Club members joined the 'ipeel' workshop held by THEi to learn different ways to make useful products by reusing food waste.

Joint School Programme (PLK Primary Schools) TSA English Mock Oral Training (by English Department)

The English Department will organize a Joint School Programme with PLK Primary Schools every year. This year, our English teachers, Ms Chan and Ms Yuen brought 17 student helpers to Po Leung Kuk Mrs. Chan Nam Chong Memorial Primary School to have a TSA English Mock Oral Training with their Primary 6 students. It was such a valuable experience for our students. The feedback was positive from both the students and teachers at Po Leung Kuk Mrs. Chan Nam Chong Memorial Primary School.

Our students were the examiners to assess the Primary 6 students.

SFC-JSC Alumni Sharing Session 2018

A SFC-JSC alumni sharing session was conducted on 26 April 2018. Around 25 KTC students representing different elective subjects shared the information, opinion and factors for consideration with S3 students in JSC about their studies, elective choices and transitioning to life after entering KTC.

5A Chan Hei Lam and Tai Hiu Yi, 5D Chik Wai Chak and 5F Chu Kin Hang are giving students tips on studying Chinese History and Biology.

VTC and CIC Visit

In order to help S3 students know more about the post-secondary 3 exits and course content of the vocational training institutes,the Careers and Guidance Committee organized a visit to the VTC Kowloon Bay Complex and the Construction Industry Resource Centre. Around 20 students went there on 16 March 2018. They could know more about the requirements and details of the programs offered which helped them make decisions on further studies.

The 20th Anniversary Sports Day

The Sports Day was held on 27 March, 2018 at Tsing Yi Sports Ground. All students actively joined different competitions and they enjoyed the events on that day very much. Our talented athletes showed their great athletic skills through various events, such as 100m running, relay, long jump, high jump, hurdles race, etc.

Students are racing for the 4 x 100 metres relay.

2018 World Book Day Fest - Towards a Reading City

Our school was honored to be invited to hold a reading game booth at SKH St Mary's Church Mok Hing Yiu College in Sham Shui Po District last Saturday (21/4). The 2018 World Book Day Fest is co-organised by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) and the Education Bureau(EDB) aiming at fostering a sustainable atmosphere and culture of reading across the city by building on the strengths in the promotion of reading across the curriculum and capitalising on the synergy of schools, parents and community partners.

Po Leung Kuk Affiliated Secondary Schools Joint-School Concert

Po Leung Kuk Affiliated Secondary Schools Joint-School Concert was held at Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre Theatre on 13 April. Our S.3 studen, Lai Lik Man performed with the Joint School Recorder Band and S.2 Anakin Tam played the piano solo piece "Impromptu Op. 90 No. 2" which was composed by the famous Austrian composer, Franz Schubert. We all had a great time in the concert.

S2 assembly on personality and health

Social workers from PO Leung Kuk Student Support Service brought to us a very informtive and inspiring talk on the relationship between personality and health. Students first completed a preliminary enneagram questionnaire in the morning. Briefly knowing their personality traits, they enjoyed the lively presentation from our guest speakers highlighting the vulnerability of each personality traits when facing health risk temptation. Students also got gifts when they answered some recap questions correctly at the end of the assembly.
