Assembly talk (One country two systems and The basic law)

An assembly period for S1 and S2 students was held in the school hall on the topics of 'one country two systems' and the basic law. The talk proved to be very useful as students learnt about the background and history of the issues concerned and their implications for Hong Kong and its citizens today.

Students were concentrated during the talk.

Life Wide Learning Day - Visiting Hong Kong Maritime Museum

In order to let our students learn more about the Hong Kong's maritime heritage, 3B students visited the Hong Kong Maritime Museum on 24 November, 2017. During the visit, students gained a better understanding of the history, especially the development of Hong Kong, as an international port and shipping hub.

"Create Your District" Competition 2017

Two groups of Form 3 students joined the "Create Your District" Competition 2017, organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. After attending the workshop and the guided tour led by certified surveyors, students were required to illustrate their ideal design of a designated area in Sham Shui Po District from surveyors' point of view. One group of students chose to build a Piazza in the district, allowing citizens to enjoy traditional and modern street cuisines and mini-stalls to sell accessories and handcrafts.

Students designed a Plazza for citizens to enjoy their time on weekends.

Lifewide Learning Day - Innovative technology and economic development in Shenzhen (LS, Econ)

The students of 3 Form 2 classes have joined a one-day tour to Shenzhen to learn more about the latest technology and economic development in the region. Students visited the showroom of a bicycle factory, where they saw various types of bicycle used by civilians and professional atheletes. They also visited the assembly line and saw how the shared bicycles, which are now very popular in mainland China, were manufactured.

Life-wide Learning Day - PE Boxing

The studnets of classes 3D and 3K joined a boxing workshop promoted by the Hong Kong Boxing Association (HKBA) and the School and Community Development Programme. The workshop provided the students with an excellent opportunity to learn more about the sport and an understanding of a ring sport. The students enjoyed the workshop and the chance to try the sport of boxing.

Theme of November in School Library – Wuxia Fiction

In order to enhance the reading atmosphere in the school, the library will prepare a series of theme activities every month this year. The second theme of this year is Wuxia Fiction. The library has prepared many Wuxia fictions for our students. For example, “The Legend of the Condor Heroes”, “The Return of the Condor Heroes”, and “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber". The library has also held a matching game on 21 November 2017. Students dressed up as Wuxia characters and played the game on that day. They were excited and enjoyed the game.

The library has prepared a reading corner for Wuxia fictions.

Po Leung Kuk History Talk (1)

On 18 November, our students and teacher went to Po Leung Kuk Museum that situated in the Po Leung Kuk Headquarters on Leighton Road. We have attended a seminar concerning about the history of the relationship between Po Leung Kuk and the social develpment of Hong Kong. Professor Siu Kwok Kin, the guest speaker, told us a lot about the history and the important events in the seminar.

Scout Hiking and Camping Activity

21 scouts went to Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association Brandbury Hall to have a 2-days-1-night hiking and camping activity. They needed to finish a 10km hiking trip and make their own meal. They had a great experience and a joyful trip.
