2024-2025 Parents’ IT Educational Workshop

In order to enable parents to enhance their understanding of internet safety, and to understand how to effectively use electronic tools to assist children learning and help children to establish good digital usage habits, the school held a parent’s educational workshop “The Usage of Eschoolpad for Parents” on 7th March, and “Understand Cyber Pitfalls and Traps” on 24th March. More than 20 families joined in the talk, the parents gained more information about creating a secure electronic learning environment for children.

Charity Bazaar cum CoolSTEAMaker Festival

The Charity Bazaar cum CoolSTEAMaker Festival was held on 22nd March, 2025. The event featured various STEAM-related exhibitions, workshops, hands-on activities, competitions, performances and games stalls which showcased students’ talents beyond academics. Students and teachers set up different booths to demonstrate STEAM elements in various subjects and enthusiastically responded to the visitors’ questions. In general, it was a fruitful event for our school.

A visit to the Aviation Education Path at the Civil Aviation Department (2025-03-10)

In order to introduce students to the aviation industry, 19 students took part in the visit to the Aviation Education Path at the Civil Aviation Department. During the workplace visit, students gained valuable insights into the responsibilities and roles within aviation management. The visit was an enriching experience that helped students understand the multifaceted nature of aviation management and the crucial roles that different components play in the industry.

2024-25 Joint-School PTA Family Activity

In order to foster the cooperation between parents and the school, a Joint-School PTA Family activity was held on 15th March, 2025 (Saturday) by the PTA of our school and P.L.K. Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College. All participants, including parents, students and teachers enjoy the moment of being together!

Annual Book Fair Organized by the School Library

From March 10 to 11, 2025, the annual book fair, meticulously planned by our school library, was held smoothly. Invited booksellers were on campus for the event, and the venue featured various book exhibition areas, including children’s literature, popular science, classic masterpieces, and study references. Hundreds of new books were neatly displayed, attracting a large number of teachers and students to stop and browse. During the book fair, staff patiently recommended suitable books to students.

Careers Guidance Committee: Taster Program - "Become A Baker" workshop at IVE (Chai Wan)

To let students gain an in-depth understanding of the bakery career field, students had a hands-on baking session and a tour of professional kitchens on 6 March 2025 at IVE (Chai Wan) where they learned the food and beverage in practice. Students experienced the process of baking in a real kitchen for the first time, and they encountered the working progression in hospitality. Students felt delightful about the program.

Talk and Workshop on Mental Health and Peer Support

To enhance students' awareness of mental health and well-being and to help them recognize their own emotional needs as well as those of others, our school’s educational psychologist, Ms. Lee, delivered a talk to Form 1 and 2 students during assembly. Students were introduced to the signs and symptoms that indicate a need for help. In the class-teacher session, they practised using “comforting words” and appropriate “replies” to support their peers.

We hope these messages will help students stay positive and cheerful, just like they are in the photo.

Careers Guidance Committee - S3 Student and Parent Talk on Further Studies on SFC (2): NSS and subject selection

In order to help students better prepare for their future senior secondary studies, a student and parent talk was held on 10th February, 2025. The talk on selection of NSS elective subjects was divided into 4 parts: Introduction to the criteria and methods for selection of elective subjects, introduction to different elective courses and specific subject selection considerations and a Q&A session for parents and students. The talk was fruitful with parents and students gaining a better understanding of the senior form subject electives.

JA Planning with Purpose Workshop

To help students understand the importance of identifying education and career goals based on one’s own skills, interests and values, as well as their connection with personal finance, the school collaborated with Junior Achievement Hong Kong (JAHK) and held a workshop on 26/02/2025. During the workshop, students learnt why they should manage their money well in order to pursue further studies. There was also a board game about making choices between further studies and job hunting. Overall, students had a fruitful experience.
