The Biotech / AIoT Taster @TNK for primary students was successfully held on 11th January, 2025. The highlights of the workshop included an hour-long taster workshop and a school talk. About 60 visitors attended the event and enjoyed the activities.
Held from 18th to 19th of December 2024 in Po Leung Kuk Jockey Club Tai Tong Holiday Camp, the recent S3 Leadership Training Camp was a tremendous success, bringing together students for a day of cooperative training and adventurous challenges. Designed to develop team spirit and resilience, the event featured engaging activities that encouraged collaboration and problem-solving.
In order to broaden the horizons of our students, the school organizes a “Wuhan historical and cultural tour (4 days)” for our students. 15 students visited different meaningful historic sites at Wuhan from 20th December to 23rd December 2024. Students enjoyed the trip and strengthened their understanding of national identity.
Our school’s Educational Psychologist (EP) Ms Lee and Ms Wong from Po Leung Kuk EP’s Positive Education team has provided our teachers with a professional development workshop on differentiated instructions in regular classroom to cater for learner diversity and strategies to motivate students’ learning on December 11, 2024.
Caritas Youth and Community Service has been commissioned by the HKSAR Education Bureau (EDB) to launch a service named "Provision of Career Exploration Activities for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students in Secondary Schools (2024/25)". In order to help NCS students understand more about the hotel industry, the Careers Guidance Committee invited students to join a job shadowing opportunity at T-Hotel. The visit involved learning latte art, dining etiquettes and bed making with towel art.
In order to increase students’ exposure to different careers, a job simulation activity was arranged for S.2 students on 18th December 2024. Students had interesting job tasting sessions, covering occupations like firefighter, ambulanceman, interior designer, veterinarian, nutritionist and waiter, etc. Through the simulation, students tried their best to complete specific tasks related to different professions. Overall, students had a fruitful experience.
To introduce our school and showcase our latest facilities and achievements, the school held a School Open Day for the public on November 30, 2024 (Saturday). The event commenced with an admission talk conducted by our Vice Principal and Assistant Principal. After the talk, "Chat with the Principals" sessions were also held so that parents could have a closer exchange with the Principals.
To enhance students' academic and professional journeys, students from our college participated in FutureGEN Girls Leadership Summit 2024, at Hong Kong Palace Museum organized by the JYC Girls Impact Foundation. At the FGG Summit 2024, there were leading education stakeholders and trailblazers from diverse fields to share their vision and experience. Students also developed their education and career pathways through unique leadership and STEAM learning opportunities and by networking with peers.
Alumni AGM was held on 13th December, 2024. Our Principal, Mr. Wong Chung Ki, gave a welcome speech. Then, the Chairperson of the Alumni, Mr. Lam Ka Ho presented the annual report and the Vice Chairperson, Mr. Li Chun Wai presented the budget report.
