A visit to Dialogue in the Dark (DiD) was held to provide students with a better understanding of the difficulties of the visually impaired.
Hong Kong Schools Mooting and Mock Trial Competition was held from Oct 2017 to Mar 2018. The Competition is organized by the Hong Kong Schools Mooting and Mock Trial Association. It aims at providing local secondary students with the opportunity to receive legal education and conduct advocacy. Our students gained a valuable experience during the activity.
25 students from Star Program and various school teams joined a 4-day exchange tour to Ning Bo during Easter holiday. They visited Ning Bo No. 15 Middle School, our sister school, and shared their experience in different competitions with students in Ning Bo. In return, our teachers and students were treated a wonderful cultural performance, including singing, dancing, instrument solo and Chinese opera, prepared by the host students. Our students also gained new exposure by sitting in the Chinese and Music lessons there.
A seminar about 'Forensic Science' was held on 20 March 2018 for all S2 students and science school team members. Ms. Jessica Chan from HKFYG provided a meaningful and interesting introduction to all students.
As part of students' Other Learning Experiences (OLE), the Careers Guidance Committee has organized a school visit to the University of Hong Kong. We believe it is important for students to get exposure to different further study pathways as much as possible in order to be well-prepared for their future. A micro-teaching activity which is conducted by the teacher-students from the Faculty of Education is given to our students. The theme of the activity is 'Career Planning'.
16 of our students attended the Sports Day of PLK Lam Man Chan English Primary School on 16 March 2018. They tried their best to complete their job as time keepers in order to assure the accuracy and fairness of all races.
A seminar about 'Post-secondary 3 Education Pathways other than SFC' was held on 12 March 2018 for all S3 students and parents. Ms Cheng, the Education Consultant from Vocational Training Council (VTC), provided information on different options of further studies for the S3 students.
With the collaboration of all the students, parents and staff of the school, we successfully held our 20th Anniversary Fete cum Family Fun Fun Day last Sunday. All participants and visitors witnessed our achievements throughout the years on the day.
Creativity Fortnight - Economics, Business Accounting & Liberal Studies Departments
During the Creativity Fortnight, Economics, Business & Accounting and Liberal Studies Departments have jointly brought a lunch-time activity full of fun to our students.
