Creativity Fortnight - Best Background Music for Korean Dramas (Music Department)

The Music Department brought a whole-school activity during the Creativity Fortnight. Our S.3 students created their own music videos by composing original background music for popular Korean dramas. On 23rd March, six shortlisted music videos were shown to all classes during the Class Teachers' Period. While enjoying the music videos, students voted for their favourite background music for Korean dramas.

Students of class 3A received the most votes in this activity. Congratulations!

Joyful Fruit Week

The annual Joyful Fruit Week was held successfully this year from 27 February to 3 March. This event aims at promoting a habit of eating more fruits regularly and importance of healthy lifestyle. Students participated actively in all activities.

Class 1D won the 1st Runner-up in the competition.

Inter-house Table-tennis Competition 2016-2017

A challenging and exciting Inter-house Table-tennis Competition was held successfully in February, 2017. Representatives of the three houses (Pegasus, Leopard, & Kabarda) tried their best to get every single point in the games. In addition, students helpers who were responsible for judging the games, setting up the venue and recording the results, showed their enthusiasm to support the event. The Kabarda House was the champion and won the golden medal. The Pegasus House won the silver medal and the Leopard House won the bronze medal.

It is an exciting match!

SFC-JSC Alumni Sharing Session 2017

A SFC-JSC alumni sharing session was conducted on 7 March, 2017. Around 20 KTC students who were studying different elective subjects shared the information, opinion and factors for consideration with S3 students in JSC. They also shared their personal experience about their studies, making of elective choices and transitioning to life after entering KTC.

Creativity Fortnight – Geography & History Department

During the Creativity Fortnight, the Geography and History Department have jointly brought a full-of-fun lunchtime activity to our students. In the activity, students took part in the DIY Anemometer and Sundial Workshop in the Geography room. They also learnt more about the background information of the anemometer and sundial in the reading session. All in all, students had great fun in the activity.

Experience EMI Learning Day

The Experience EMI Learning Day was held on 25 March, 2017 (Saturday). Some P.5 and P.6 students were invited to come to our school and have lessons that English was used as the medium of instruction. Besides the EMI lesson experience (Mathematics, Geography and History), an Arduino training workshop and some Science, Computer Literacy and English activities were also prepared for the students. The participants enjoyed the day a lot.

Creativity Fortnight – Chinese Language Department

During the Creativity Fortnight, the Chinese Language Department conducted an interesting lunch-time activity - Fun Trivia Quiz about Chinese Culture. The aim of the activity was to arouse the awareness about the Chinese culture in an amusing way.

Creativity Fortnight –BA, Economics & LS Dept

During the Creativity Fortnight, Economics, Business & Accounting and Liberal Studies Departments have jointly brought a lunch-time activity full of fun to our students.

In the activity, students were required to take part in a board game called Cashflow - a financial simulator using RPG elements and simplified stock and real estate markets.

Teachers and students are well prepared and ready for rolling out the activity.
