Form 1 Placement

New Form 1 students are required to take the EDB Attainment Tests or School-based Class-streaming Tests in mid-July and are placed based on their results.
Students are placed to 1P (PMI class) according to the results of a PTH written test and interview.
Split classes are arranged for the core subjects—Chinese Language, English Language, and Mathematics—to provide intensive support and help students achieve a higher level of attainment, thereby enabling them to meet university entry requirements in the future or to attain the highest possible scores in pursuit of excellence. Split-class arrangements for Integrated Humanities (Citizenship, Economics and Society) and Chinese History are implemented to support the learning and teaching of non-Chinese-speaking (NCS) students.

Form 2 and Form 3 students are placed based on their academic performance, conduct and teachers’ advice.
