1. Aims
School physical education (PE), through teaching a wide range of sports skills and knowledge, help students develop an active and healthy lifestyle, and nurture balanced development in the five virtues, ‘ethics, intellect, physical development, social skills and aesthetics’. A school-based PE curriculum should be broad and balanced; and cover the six strands of knowledge. PE focuses on learning motor and sports skills, and is keen to develop physical fitness. Teachers should also bring in tropics relevant to “health and fitness”, “sports-related values and attitudes”, “knowledge and practice of safety”, knowledge of movement” and “aesthetic sensitivity” when appropriate.
Students will be able
1.1 To acquire locomotors, body coordination and object manipulative skills in a wide range of physical activities for fun and performance;
1.2 To ascertain how physical activities relate to good health; and learn the basic of planning, implementing and evaluating plan;
1.3 To understand the meaning of sports competition and develop positive values and attitudes;
1.4 To learn risk management; and implement measures to prevent sports injuries;
1.5 To construct a knowledge base for fun, performance, and the organization of physical activities;
1.6 To understand the meaning of beauty; and strengthen the capability of giving comment on physical performance.

A sports club was established to cooperate with the MVPA60 program. Led by student leaders, it will organize sports activities during recess and lunch breaks to enhance students' sense of responsibility |

Producing a teaching package for the National Sports Development and Achievements Theory course.Online instruction for the National Sports Development and Achievements Theory course is conducted each semester. Through inter-school swimming meets/sports festivities, school sports days, and field trips, students are taught the correct attitudes and proper etiquette when singing the national anthem, raising the national flag, and participating in or watching sports events. By showing CCTV5+ in the auditorium during recess and lunch breaks, students can watch videos of national team matches, learn about the country's sports development and achievements, and cultivate the correct attitudes when participating in or watching sports events. A shuttlecock team has been established to cherish traditional Chinese sports and related culture. |

In addition to competitive sports, organize sports and cultural activities for all students to participate in, share in the fun, and enhance their sense of well-being. Effectively utilize the student reward system to enhance students' sense of achievement. Invite athletes to share their experiences and encourage students, fostering positive values and resilience, improving students' physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and fostering a healthy and positive campus atmosphere. |

Participate in the PLK Sports Quality Circle Program. Develop regular physical fitness training kits for students to use in their daily self-study. Incorporate at least 30 minutes of physical fitness activities in the first period of each week. Conduct a physical fitness assessment once per semester, with 30% of the overall average score calculated. |

An online self-learning resource classroom (Google Classroom) is available for students to preview and review lessons, strengthening their independent learning abilities. A hybrid teaching model (flipped classroom) is used to promote independent learning and enhance teaching effectiveness. |

Carry out subject-based reading plans and recommend new books to improve students' reading ability. |

Multiple levels of passing level are set in the assessment, and detailed descriptions of the requirements for each level are provided to help students in different learning groups improve their levels, strengthen support for students in different learning groups, and take into account learning diversity. |
